First Cohort Completes Transformational Lighting Installation Workshop

South Florida, February 12, 2026 — The Lighting Excellence Dojo has officially launched its in-person training series at the new South Florida Training Facility. The inaugural session brought together integrators, manufacturer reps and technicians for 3 full days of immersive hands-on lighting installation training.

Powered by IntegrateU, the Lighting Installation Training addresses one of the most critical gaps in the custom integration industry: practical lighting install training that equips techs to deliver better outcomes in the field.

"Lighting is one of the fastest-growing and most misunderstood categories in our industry," said Bruce Clark, also known as the Lighting Sensei. "Techs have been left to figure it out alone for too long. The Lighting Installation Training gives them a process, a framework and the confidence to master lighting installs the right way."

Participants in the South Florida session worked directly with seasoned instructors and active integrators. Topics included fixture specification, design documentation, low-voltage lighting fundamentals, load management, linear lighting installation, control system integration and troubleshooting.

"We built the Lighting Installation Training because nobody else was teaching this," said Dante Walston, co-founder of IntegrateU. "This is real-world training created by integrators for integrators. The South Florida facility gives us the space to do it right and deliver training that sticks."
